UPDATED: Man sought in armed bank robbery in Mystic

Mystic – Stonington Police say a man displayed a handgun this afternoon during a robbery at the People's Bank branch at 12 Roosevelt Avenue, (Route 1).
The robbery was reported at 12:29 p.m. and was committed by a heavy-set man wearing a dark sweatshirt with his face covered. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
Stonington Police Capt. Jerry Desmond said patrol officers and detectives continue to investigate.
