Recruit Rakim Lubin watched UConn’s first basketball practice on Saturday during his official visit.
Guess he liked what he saw from his seat at Gampel Pavilion.
Lubin, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward from Gadsden, Ala., gave the Huskies a verbal commitment, according to a Twitter report @OntheRadarHoops. He transferred to Buford High School after attending Gadsden.
Allen Whitehart, his coach at Buford, confirmed Lubin’s commitment on twitter @WhitehartHoops.
“I’m really excited for him,” Whitehart wrote.
Lubin is a member of the Class of 2014.
