While enjoying a recent trip to enjoy the New England fall foliage and visit family, we were informed of and greatly impressed with the Care & Share Food Pantry serving East Lyme. What a wonderful effort so many in your community put in to provide a variety of assistance to those in need. Donations are collected throughout the community by a variety of organizations, including but not limited to schools, faith-based groups, National Guard, and others. Operation of the pantry is done completely by volunteers from the community who collect, store, and manage distribution of the donated items. All involved with this effort should be very proud, as should your community in addressing the well-being of those in need.
