    Norwich woman arrested on drug charges; her fourth drug arrest since June

    Norwich — A local woman who has been the subject of several narcotics investigations recently was charged Monday with possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to sell.

    Jackie L. Brown, 22, of 187 Broad Street, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell and interfering with an officer. It was her fourth drug arrest since June, police said.

    Norwich Police detectives were conducting surveillance at 2:27 p.m. Monday in the Greenville section of the city after receiving a complaint of blatant drug dealing in a local business parking lot.

    According to police, when approached by detectives Brown jumped into a vehicle and struggled with the officers. Officers found 30 bags of heroin and five small bags of crack cocaine.

    Brown was held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Norwich Tuesday.
