State police from Troop E are investigating numerous accidents, according to a spokesman for the troop.

Earlier, a rollover occurred in the northbound lanes of the Gold Star Bridge, but no further details have been made available. A sergeant at Troop E said no lanes were closed as of 3 p.m.

Many local police departments reported minor accidents caused by the slick roads.

Norwich, New London, Montville and Stonington have enacted parking bans.
