Popular vote plan bad for Conn. and nation

The local politicians are all gaga for yet another presidential election scheme that disenfranchises all voters who do not vote for the national popular vote winner. All winner-take-all voting schemes, whether by congressional district or statewide, disenfranchise some voters. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact disenfranchises the maximum number of Connecticut voters and requires collusion and deal making with other states.

If politicians were really concerned with making every vote count, they would award Connecticut's electoral votes in proportion to Connecticut's state-wide popular vote total.

Make every vote count, award Connecticut's electoral votes in proportion to Connecticut's statewide popular vote, not the votes from some other states. Reject the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
