Ex-Sun guard Tan White signs with Lynx

Reigning WNBA champion Minnesota tweaked its roster on Wednesday when they signed former Connecticut Sun guard Tan White and traded away guard Sugar Rodgers.

White, entering her ninth season in the league, averaged 9.2 points for the Sun in 2013 and will give the Lynx another experienced guard in a backcourt which features another ex-Sun player, point guard Lindsay Whalen.

Rodgers, meanwhile, was dealt to the New York Liberty for the rights to swap third round draft picks in 2015. Rodgers was drafted by Minnesota in the second round of the 2013 WNBA Draft out of Georgetown, but played sparingly for the Lynx, averaging 1.9 points in 7.6 minutes off the bench. She became expendable with free agent signing of White and the drafting of Duke guard Tricia Liston in the first round on Monday night.
