Preston – Utility crews have completed repairs to a utility pole and reopened Route 2A following a crash Friday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident involving a box truck had led to the closure of Route 2A, at Route 12, while the utility pole was replaced.

The road was reported closed at 1:30 p.m. Notice of the reopening was sent out by the DOT at 5:45 p.m.

Details of the accident were not immediately available, but police said it appeared the truck was rounding a curve when it toppled onto its side and struck a utility pole.
