Groton — Police have arrested a man who they say shot and killed a feral cat in his neighborhood.
Donald Lewis, 65, of 397 Toll Gate Road was charged Friday with malicious wounding of an animal, unlawful discharge of firearms and breach of peace. According to police, Lewis was upset with the amount of cats gathering near his house because a neighbor feeds them.
He shot the cat with a rifle, police said.
