East Lyme — The Board of Finance on Wednesday set the 2014-15 tax rate at 24.03 mills.

The tax rate reflects an increase of 0.681 mills, or 2.92 percent, over the current rate. That means that the owner of a house assessed at $300,000 would pay $7,209 in taxes next year, or about $205 more than they currently do.

The 2014-15 budget, approved at referendum last week, stands at $65,113,598, or 3.07 percent more than the current spending plan.

Sometimes, but I also grow my own veggies.
If I can get to one, I'll try and support it, but I find most markets are only open while I'm at work.
