Street mural honors memory of New London man

Artist Denny Rivera of New York, a former New London resident, works Sunday on a pavement mural dedicated to the memory of Chris Nelson, a Planning & Zoning Commission member who died in December 2013. Rivera is working with artists and volunteers on the "Chris Nelson Green and Golden Mural Project" at the intersection of Green and Golden streets in New London.
