Mohegan police charge two with credit card fraud

Mohegan – Tribal police arrested two people on Saturday for allegedly trying to obtain cash advances using fake identifications and credit cards.

Dominique T. Walker of Atlantic City, N.J., and Lekisha Ferrell of Philadelphia, Pa., each face charges of illegal use of a credit card, third-degree larceny and criminal impersonation.

Police said the two each tried to obtain a $2,500 cash advance from the casino’s main cage using fraudulent credentials.

Additionally, police charged David R. Cuthbert of Philadelphia, Pa., with interfering with an officer. Police said Cuthbert was seen walking with and speaking to Walker and Ferrell prior to their arrest. He ran from police when they attempted to interview him.

Walker and Ferrell are due to appear June 26 in New London Superior Court. Bond information was not immediately available.
