Montville — A New London man was arrested Monday after state police said he stole a vehicle and then attempted to elude police.
Alexander Wiggins, 27, of 125 Jefferson Ave. was charged with driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, disobeying an officer’s signal, first-degree larceny by possession, interfering with an officer and attempt to commit first-degree assault.
Police said Wiggins stole a vehicle from New London and led them on a chase until he was apprehended on Route 32 in Montville.
State police said they were assisted by New London, Waterford and Montville police.
Wiggins was held in lieu of a $150,000 bond pending his arraignment in Norwich Superior Court.
