Join together to block big electric rate hike

State utility regulators are accepting public input on Connecticut Light & Power Co.'s request for a rate increase for delivering electricity, effective Dec. 1. If this rate hike is approved, the average non-heating residential customer's monthly bill would increase by $12.48.

If you are opposed to this potential increase, as I am, here's what you can do:

You can email your comments as soon as possible to Pura.Executivesecretary@ct.gov. Put "Docket Number 14-05-06" in the email's subject line. Copy your email to me at Art.Linares@cga.ct.gov.

I hope you will join me in speaking out.
