Vizenor to read from new book at Pequot Museum

Author Gerald Vizenor will read from and sign copies of his new novel, "Blue Ravens," on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum. "Blue Ravens" is a historical novel about Native American Indians who served in World War I in France.

Vizenor is a citizen of the White Earth Nation of the Anishinaabeg; professor emeritus of American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley; and his novel "Griever: An American Monkey King in China" won the American Book Award and the New York Fiction Collective Award.

This program is free. The museum is at 110 Pequot Trail, Mashantucket.
