Ledyard repeats as ECC volleyball champs

Plainfield - Michelle Klinikowski had 20 kills, five blocks and four aces to earn MVP honors as top-seeded Ledyard High School overwhelmed Fitch on Thursday night, 25-19, 25-10, 25-11 to win its second straight Eastern Connecticut Conference girls' volleyball title at Plainfield High.

Jenny Nohara had 37 assists and three aces for Ledyard and Madison Canestrari had 19 kills and five blocks. Mariah Abstetar added 20 digs.

Mae Sefransky had 21 assists and Jen Severino had 10 kills for the No. 3 Falcons.
