Sarah Elizabeth Schaffer of Arlington, Va., and Eric Marshall Hutchins of Rockville, Md., were united in marriage by the Rev. Bret B. Hays on Sept. 6, 2014, in an outdoor ceremony on the shores of Gibson Island, Md.

The parents of the bride are Roger and Kathy Schaffer of Severna Park, Md. Parents of the groom are Lloyd and Ellen Hutchins of Groton.

The attendants were Andrew Schaffer, the bride's brother, and Edward and Allan Hutchins, brothers of the groom.

Sarah graduated from Yale University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed as a business development capture manager at Lockheed Martin in Gaithersburg, Md. Eric took his bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Virginia in 2002. He is employed as a chief cyber intelligence analyst at Lockheed Martin in Gaithersburg.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and New Zealand. They reside in Rockville, Md.
