    Sun to open 2015 season at home, June 5

    The Connecticut Sun will tip off its 13th season with a home game against the Washington Mystics at 7 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Mohegan Sun Arena, the team announced Thursday. The Sun play three of their first four games at home.

    Weekend highlights for the Sun include a matchup with Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday, June 26, and a visit from Sue Bird and the Seattle Storm on Friday, July 31. The regular season ends with a game against Elena Delle Donne and the Eastern Conference champion Chicago Sky on Sunday, Sept. 13.

    Among other noteworthy home games, Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen and the Minnesota Lynx visit Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, July 14, while Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner and the defending WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury travel to Connecticut on Thursday, Aug. 27.

    Connecticut will be tested early by a West Coast swing through Seattle (June 16), Phoenix (June 19) and Los Angeles (June 21). The Sun also have two instances of back-to-back games, facing Indiana and Washington on July 18-19, and New York and Chicago on Aug. 29-30.
