Waterford finishes third in its Lancer Invitational

Waterford finished third in its Lancer Invitational on Saturday night. New Fairfield won the 15-team tournament with 167.5, East Providence was second at 149.5 and Waterford had 129.5 points. NFA was fifth with 123.5, New London was sixth with 100 and Fitch finished ninth with 61.5.

Locals winning individual titles were Waterford's Sam Lindblom (145 pounds) and Cody Cleary (220), NFA's Matt Foster (113) and Pat Mahoney-Balestracci (182), New London's Alejandro Paulino (126) and Fitch's Billy Goff (160). Dillon McCarty of Waterford (170) and Jarod Kosman of Fitch (106) had second-place finishes.

Third-place finishes went to Mike Commander of New London (132), Noah Concascia of Waterford (152), Justin Keating of Waterford (182), Jose Lotts of NFA (195), Trent Evans of Fitch (220) and Oscar Calcano of New London (285).
