A positive shoutout for the editorial, "Build a regional shelter," (Feb. 25). I was dumbfounded to have previously read that alternatives to Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center needed to be sought as a site for a shelter.
These programs change lives. They reach prisoners and animals in real need of unconditional love. They give a quality of life to abandoned animals that get little attention in other understaffed shelters.
It disgusts me time and effort went into collecting signatures so control officers won't have to put in a few extra miles.
You should all be ashamed of your righteous selves.
