Detroit's playoff hopes likely faded away a couple of weeks ago. It can still have a say on who might get there.

Andre Drummond had 18 points and 22 rebounds, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored seven of his 27 points in overtime and the Pistons beat Boston on Sunday.

Reggie Jackson added 17 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who won for the third time in four games after a 10-game losing streak.

Evan Turner had 23 points and Jae Crowder 19 for Boston, which lost its third straight. With the loss, the Celtics fell out of the final position in a tight race for the Eastern Conference's eighth and last playoff spot.

"Totally cliche when you are as far back as we are with 12 games to go to talk about playoffs," Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said. "We'd have to go on a huge run and probably win 11 of 12, so we are just worried about the next game."

Detroit snapped an eight-game road losing streak, sending Boston to just its second home loss in its last 11 games.

"Yeah. These are the ones that hurt," Crowder said. "We have to have these games. Those guys are really playing for nothing. Even though they are in the hunt, they're really not playing for anything as of late. Those are the teams that can harm you the most."

The Pistons wiped out a deficit late in regulation, then scored on their first two possessions of overtime and opened with a 7-0 run.

Caldwell-Pope had a driving basket and Jodie Meeks nailed a 3-pointer from the left corner. Caldwell-Pope then capped the spree with a 3-pointer, making it 95-88.

Trailing by four with under 2 minutes left in regulation, Detroit scored the next five points, the last coming on Tayshaun Prince's 3-pointer from the right corner, making it 86-85 with 1:15 left.

Crowder then had a three-point play before Jackson's bank shot tied it at 88-all.

Following Jackson's miss and a Celtics timeout, Turner lost control before he could get a shot off, sending the game to OT.

The Pistons trailed by six after three quarters and opened the fourth with a 16-9 run to take their first lead since early in the second quarter.

"We were flying around the first three quarters," Boston coach Brad Stevens said. "I thought we slowed down a little in the fourth."

The Raptors gave All-Star guard Kyle Lowry the day off against the NBA's worst team, and wound up winning easily.

That's not how it happened the last time Toronto faced New York.

DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points, Tyler Hansbrough added a season-high 18 and the Raptors won for the third time in four games, beating the Knicks.

Lowry, who dressed but did not play in Friday's loss at Chicago, was inactive after hurting his back in a fall against Minnesota last Wednesday. Greivis Vasquez made his second straight start in Lowry's place.

"That's our point guard, one of the leaders on this team," DeRozan said of his absent teammate. "It's definitely tough when you know you don't have him out there. That's when everybody else has to step up and do a little bit more to help us win."

Hansbrough certainly did, going 7 of 8 from the field and 4 of 5 at the free throw line.

"Just his intensity, his activity, his energy, got us going," Raptors coach Dwane Casey said.

Lowry also sat when the Raptors visited New York on Feb. 28, but the Atlantic Division leaders couldn't beat theKnicks that night, losing 103-98. DeRozan didn't need to be reminded.

"That was another focus point that we had to key in on," DeRozan said of Toronto's search for vengeance. "We've got to use stuff like that to motivate us and keep us focused even more."

Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Lou Williams scored 13 points and Vasquez had 12 as Toronto improved to 11-2 against Atlantic Division opponents.

Lance Thomas scored a career-high 24 points and former Raptor Andrea Bargnani had 16 for the Knicks, who dropped their third straight and lost for the 10th time in 12 games.

"Lance was aggressive at the right times," New York coach Derek Fisher said.

New York guard Alexey Shved, who came in averaging 22 points in his previous three games, bruised his ribs in a collision with Toronto's James Johnson in the first half and was unable to return. He finished with nine points in 17 minutes.

The Knicks also lost rookie Travis Wear to a sore back in the fourth.

"As we were losing bodies and also playing from behind all afternoon, it was just a tough go," Fisher said.

Leading 78-72, Toronto put the game away with a 12-0 run early in the final quarter. Terrence Ross started it with a three-point play, Hansbrough made a pair of free throws, Williams hit a floater before adding three from the line, and Johnson capped the spurt with a reverse layup.

Clippers 107, Pelicans 100

Blake Griffin scored 23 points, Chris Paul had 23 points and 11 assists, and Los Angeles put a crimp in New Orleans’ playoff hopes.

J.J. Redick scored 20 points and DeAndre Jordan finished with 16 rebounds and 12 points, helping the Clippers win their fourth in a row. They converted 18 Pelicans turnovers into 30 points and had a 25-6 advantage on second-chance points.

Anthony Davis led New Orleans with 26 points and 12 rebounds in 39 minutes after missing two games with a sprained left ankle. Tyreke Evans was sidelined because of the same injury and was replaced in the starting lineup by Norris Cole, who had 12 points before fouling out in the final minutes.

Thunder 93, Heat 75

Russell Westbrook had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 17 assists for his 10th triple-double of the season to lead Oklahoma City.

Enes Kanter had 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Thunder, who have won three in a row. Rookie Mitch McGary scored 14 points, and Anthony Morrow had 12.

Kanter was expected to miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. But he was cleared to play after morning shootaround, and then got off to a fast start with 15 points in the first quarter.

The Heat had five players score in double figures. Hassan Whiteside had 13 points, all in the first half, and Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers each scored 12.

Cavaliers 108, Bucks 90

LeBron James scored 28 points and sparked a key second-half run with an emphatic dunk to lead the Cavaliers.

J.R. Smith added 23 points for Cleveland, which has won three in a row. Smith made three straight 3s to close out the Cavs' decisive run that turned a six-point deficit into a 93-78 lead with 6:19 left in the game.

Milwaukee has dropped six in a row.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Bucks. The lanky forward muscled his way to the bucket against James early in the game to help Milwaukee build an 11-point lead.

James had his way late. His dunk off an offensive rebound got the Cavs going. He finished 10 of 17 from the field and grabbed 10 boards.

Spurs 114, Hawks 95

Tiago Splitter scored a season-high 23 points, Kawhi Leonard added 20 points and the San Antonio Spurs won their third straight game.

Paul Millsap finished with 22 points and Dennis Schroder had 18 points for Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta, which dropped its third in a row.

Boris Diaw scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, and Danny Green added 15 for San Antonio, which never trailed and took its biggest lead at 26 early in the third.

The Spurs, playing their fourth straight game with key reserve Manu Ginobili nursing a sprained right ankle, contested nearly every Hawks shot and pass, but no Atlanta player looked more flustered than 12th-year guard Kyle Korver.

Lakers 101, 76ers 87

Jeremy Lin scored a season-high 29 points, and Los Angeles beat Philadelphia in the first meeting of the season between two of the NBA's worst teams.

Thomas Robinson had 14 points off the bench for the 76ers, who shot just 36 percent and were outrebounded 52-39.

The 76ers, coming off home victories over the Pistons and Knicks, haven't won three in a row since a four-game stretch that began with a road win over the Lakers on Dec. 29, 2013.

Philadelphia took a 75-74 lead into the fourth quarter — only the fifth time in 52 games this season that the Sixers led after three. But they missed 12 of their next 13 shots.

Suns 98, Mavericks 92

Archie Goodwin sank the go-ahead 3-pointer, Markieff Morris added a critical jumper in the final 30 seconds and Phoenix pulled out a victory over Dallas.

Dallas rallied from a 17-point, third-quarter deficit and was up 86-80 with 5 minutes to play. But the Mavericks went four minutes without scoring while the Suns climbed back into the lead.

Eric Bledsoe had 20 points, nine assists and six rebounds for the Suns. Morris added 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Chandler Parsons scored 19 points and Amare Stoudemire 16 for Dallas, which has lost all three games against Phoenix this season. Monta Ellis was 4 for 22 from the field, including six straight misses down the stretch.

The Suns were coming off a 117-102 victory at Houston on Saturday night.

Kings 109, Wizards 86

Rudy Gay scored 26 points and Sacramento led most of the way in beating Washington for its second straight victory.

DeMarcus Cousins had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists despite foul trouble. He had missed the previous two games with a strained right calf.

Sacramento stretched its lead to 20 points in the third quarter and was never threatened from there in winning back-to-back games for the first time since late November.

Bradley Beal scored 19 points for the Wizards, but John Wall shot only 3 of 10 and had nine points and eight assists.

Washington has dropped 11 of 13 road games since beating the Lakers on Jan. 27. The Wizards have lost two of three on a four-game trip that ends Monday against Golden State.

Nuggets 119, Magic 100

Danilo Gallinari scored a career-high 40 points and former Magic guard Jameer Nelson came off the bench to ignite a big rally for Denver.

Gallinari made 12 of 21 shots, including six 3-pointers, for the Nuggets, who broke a three-game losing streak.

Nelson finished with 15 points, 13 during a 43-12 run over a 10-minute span of the first half which gave theNuggets a 63-37 lead.

Victor Oladipo led the Magic with 21 points and Nik Vucevic scored 20. Elfrid Payton, who on Friday night became the first NBA rookie in 18 years to record two straight triple-doubles, finished with six points, eight rebounds, eight assists and five turnovers.

The Nuggets broke an 11-game losing streak against Eastern Conference opponents on the road.

Hornets 109, Timberwolves 98

Mo Williams scored 24 points, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Al Jefferson each added 18 and Charlotte moved into eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Gerald Henderson added 17 points for the Hornets, who snapped a three-game skid.

Gorgui Dieng led Minnesota with 16 points and Kevin Martin had 15 points and nine assists.

His team down by 13 in the first half, Williams provided a spark off the bench with his smooth shooting, just as he did in many of his 41 games with the Timberwolves this season.

Williams shot 10 for 16 from the floor in his first game at Target Center since the Wolves traded him to Charlotte on Feb. 10.
