‘Mad Men’ podcast: Ground Control to Major Don

Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) struts her way into MCCann.(Courtesy of AMC)

It’s down to the end for AMC’s “Mad Men,” and we still have so many questions. Sunday’s episode “Lost Horizon” is still bringing us new information — Roger can play the organ (we didn’t know); Peggy roller skates (again, who knew?); Joan’s boyfriend “knows a guy” (yikes!) and Don Draper is Jim Hobart’s “white whale.”

Joan may be gone forever, a badass Peggy has appeared, Roger feels like he’s been sent to a geriatric floor and Don is driving around the country in his silver Caddy, supposedly looking for his long-lost waitress Diana. Does he see himself in Diana, whom her ex-husband describes as a tornado who leaves a trail of broken bodies? Is it safe to pick up hitchhikers? We’re covering it all in our latest “TV Takeout” podcast.

What we learned Sunday night from Peggy: When you start a new job, you MUST make an impression.

From the Department of Stuff We Should Have Remembered/Known During the Podcast: 1. St. Cloud, Minn., from Racine, Wis., takes Don north and west; read: the opposite direction of Manhattan; 2. Peggy was watching Dennis Weaver on "McCloud"; 3. to learn more about the Don Draper is DB Cooper theory, click here (or here).
