Avert your gaze if you must, kids, because this whole paragraph is one big SPOILER ALERT.

What is most shocking in "The Age of Adeline." this drama of a woman who finds herself — after being struck by lightning when submerged in a car — forever age 29 is the reaction of her hot young boyfriend when she finally tells him about this wild peculiarity. Or, should I say, his non-reaction, because the filmmakers don’t let us see his response.

I know! We see her (Blake Lively) telling him (Michiel Huisman), and we see him smiling later — but the movie skips over what happens in between.

How does he handle the fact that she’s never aged because of some lightning-induced oddity? Or that she’s actually a centenarian — so he’s dating a 107-year-old?

Or that she also had an affair with his FATHER (Harrison Ford) back in the 1960s?

Imagine the drama and angst and disbelief and horror in his reaction — and you’ll just have to imagine it because you won’t be able to see it here.
