Zulyann M. Melendez, 26, of 15 Rosemary St., New London, was charged Friday with driving while using a cell phone, driving with a suspended license or registration and second-degree failure to appear in court.

Stonington

James E. Norman, 52 of 286 North Anguilla Road, Pawcatuck, was charged Saturday with threatening and having a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Editor's note: Court documents show that the state dismissed both of James E. Norman's charges Aug. 31, 2016. He was not convicted of any crime.

Benjamin McLean, 30, of Madison, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and sixth-degree larceny.
