    Local roundup: New London Legion rallies for win

    New London — Trevor Bolduc and Hendrik Khoury were both walked with the bases loaded to force in the tying and go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as New London rallied to beat TriTown on Tuesday, 7-6, in a Zone VI American Legion game.

    Cooper Robinson had two hits, two runs, and an RBI and pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win for New London.

    J.P.Bergeron and Josh Allard each had two hits for TriTown.

    Softball

    District 10 Little League (11-12)

    • Olivia Quagan pitched a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Angie Venditti led off the game with a home run as East Lyme beat Ledyard, 7-0. Megan Nolan had two hits for East Lyme. Sara Rivers pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts for Ledyard.

    Summer baseball

    • Tuesday night’s game between the Connecticut Tigers and the Staten Island Yankees was postponed to today due to field conditions and impending weather at Dodd Stadium. The game will be made up today as part of a doubleheader starting at 6:05 p.m.

    • Tuesday night's New England Collegiate Baseball League game between the Mystics Schooners and New Bedford Bay Sox at Fitch High School was postponed indefinitely. The Schooners are home on Wednesday night against the Laconia Muskrats at 6:05 p.m.
