Cookbook author shares secrets of the trade

La Grua Center Lecture Series presents a book talk with cookbook author Betty Rosbottom on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 5 p.m.
Rosbottom has written 11 cookbooks and is a former syndicated food columnist and contributor to Bon Appétit magazine. She will discuss what goes into writing a cookbook, from the proposal to the creation of the recipes and how many times they are tested, to the photography, the publicity and more.
This event is open to the public; suggested $5 donation. Seating is limited.
Parking for La Grua Center, at 32 Water St., is in the main lot at the entrance to Stonington Commons.
