    East Lyme's Foster named MVP of Senior Bowl boys' soccer game

    East Lyme's James Foster earned Most Valuable Player honors in helping Region I defeat Region II 4-3 in the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association/Connecticut High School Coaches Association Senior Bowl boys' soccer game on Sunday at Middletown High School.

    The Region I team was coached by Montville's Colin Delaney along with Rob Jachym of Wethersfield.

    Foster, a forward, and New London midfielder Wadlet Jean-Baptiste scored goals for the winning team, which included a number of local seniors including defenders Alex Bellas and Brett Hartmann of Shoreline Conference champion Old Lyme, midfielder Santiago Manrique and defender Camden Edmond of Norwich Free Academy, midfielder Kyle MacDonnell of East Lyme and defender Joel Greenwood of Montville.
