Daphne Lee Martin and others are back in New London for a show after a two month national tour

A lot of "local" or "regional" musicians talk about "touring" but in reality only hit a few towns in a few neighboring states. There are a lot of factors at play in such things, and any effort to spread the word is a good thing.

But, in the context of hitting the road, Daphne Lee Martin isn't fooling around. In support of her latest and ambitiously compelling album, "Fall On Your Sword," Martin left New London on Oct. 8 as part of Grey Sail Brewery's #AfterglowTour — along with Francis Lombard, Accidental Seabirds, and ickywoods.

Got a road atlas handy? They hit Asbury Park, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Morgantown, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Bozeman, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Dallas, Austin, New Orleans, Athens, Asheville, Knoxville, and Myrtle Beach.

Now, they're coming back to Connecticut and the least you can do, since Martin missed Thanksgiving at home, is to welcome her back when she plays a "HI! Remember me?" show Wednesday at 33 Golden Street. And, yes, all of the tour's artists will be on the bill. Should be a great night of music.

    Daphne Lee Martin, 9 p.m. Wednesday, 33 Golden Street, 33 Golden St., New London; $5; (860) 443-1193.
