Montville police investigating fatal overdose

Montville — Police said they are investigating after a man died of a suspected opioid overdose Tuesday evening.

Police said they learned of the overdose at 6:53 p.m. They confirmed the deceased is Matthew Bernier, a 25-year-old who graduated from Montville High School in 2009.

Police are not releasing any other information at this time.
