Local photographers illustrate Last Green Valley

The Last Green Valley, Inc. has selected the winners of this year’s Calendar Photo Contest from almost 50 entries. Thirteen images that celebrate life and capture the spirit of The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor were selected for the cover and monthly calendar pages.

Among the winners was a photo by Susan Trapp of North Stonington, whose image “Give Thanks,” shot at Huntington Homestead, illustrates the month of November.

This year’s cover shot, “Happy Chicken Days,” was taken in Pomfret Center by Julia Roemer.

The 2017 Explore The Last Green Valley Calendar will be on sale soon for $15. To order a copy, call (860) 774-3300. All proceeds support The Last Green Valley’s programs.
