Members of the state police Computer Crimes Unit said they arrested a 39-year-old Griswold man on child pornography charges Tuesday following an 11-month investigation.

Brian A. Lasalle, of 15 George St., Apt. A26, Jewett City, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is due in Superior Court in Norwich on Nov. 17.

According to a news release, the investigation began in December 2015 after investigators noticed files of suspected child pornography were being shared from the internet account assigned to Lasalle's residence. The unit executed a search-and-seizure warrant at the apartment in March, seizing computers and equipment containing files of suspected child pornography, according to the release.
