Connecticut River Expeditions of Haddam will launch its 14th year of winter wildlife eagle boat cruises on Feb. 4. This year Connecticut River Expeditions has teamed up with the Connecticut River Museum and will depart from the museum’s dock in Essex. Additional eagle-related programs will be offered at the museum during the winter wildlife cruise season.RiverQuest has a heated cabin, but passengers should dress in warm layers since the best views will be from the open decks. Bring binoculars; some binoculars will be available to use on-board.

Cruises will run through March 19. Departures on Fridays are at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Departures on Saturday and Sunday are at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The cost is $40 per person.
