New London church looking for stolen snow blower

New London — The St. James Episcopal Church is asking the community to keep an eye out for its Ariens 24 LE snow blower after someone stole it earlier this week.

Church officials said they obtained the snow blower last year using proceeds from the weekly community fish dinners they host during Lent. They contacted police earlier this past week when they realized it had been stolen from their property.

“With winter quickly approaching, we are desperately seeking its return,” parishioners wrote in an email.

St. James is the home of the Drop-In Learning Center after-school program, a community food pantry and a thrift shop. It also hosts numerous 12-step programs.
