Hurricane fundraiser for St. John to be held Saturday in Mystic

Mystic _ A fundraiser to benefit the victims of Hurricane Irma on St. John will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Silver Oak at Mystic Indoor Sports, 90 Welles Road.

There will be light fare, a cash bar, live music, a silent auction, basket raffle, cornhole, and more.

More information is on Facebook at the “Lift Up Love City” event page or by contacting organizer Russ Ballou at russballou@gmail.com. All proceeds will go to two non-profit organizations: Kenny Chesney’s “Love for Love City” foundation and St. John Rescue. The island is nicknamed Love City.
