Please tell us you didn't venture into the storm and trudge to New London's Telegraph Record Shop for Thursday's edition of The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series! It didn't happen. Well, it DID but ...Y'see, what happened was, to accommodate Violent Mae's touring schedule, we pre-taped the show last Saturday and aired the production at the normal time. So, yes, we cheated. It was a good show, though, and the indie-pop duo - vocalist/guitarist Becky Kessler and drummer/vocalist Floyd Kellog - more than capably performed a fine set of shimmering and nuanced rock.
