Def Leppard headlines Sunday Mohegan Sun Bill with Styx and Tesla

I've seen some odd concert bills in my day, and I'd still like to crush the head of the booking agent who made me sit through 45 minutes of Fishbone before headliner John Tesh (FINALLY!) hit the stage.

Just kidding about that bill — although I have seen Fishbone and I've seen Tesh, just not in the same venue on the same night.

In this spirit, it seems not entirely logical that Def Leppard, Styx and Tesla appear together Sunday in the Mohegan Sun Arena. Styx enjoyed a '70s-centric pop-prog heyday, Def Leppard ruled the '80s as hooky hard rockers, and Tesla worked into the '90s with a hair-metal look and spent a lot of time doing arrangements of songs by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Montrose, Jo Jo Gunne and even John Tesh.

    Just kidding about Tesh.

Well, they ARE all rock bands still rolling on here in 2015, and I suspect each has more than enough fans that might enjoy watching the other two acts when, maybe, they wouldn't have 20 years ago.
