The New London music scene has justifiably earned a reputation as a musical hotspot beyond what our modest population might otherwise indicate. It was fun, then, to welcome Westerly’s excellent rock trio Wild Sun to town for two sets Thursday on The Day’s “Live Lunch Break” concert series in the cozy environs of the Telegraph Record Shop. Performing in an acoustic guise with singer-songwriter-guitarist Glenn Kendzia and bassist Paul Fazio, Wild Sun offered captivating versions of several tunes from their recently released debut album, “Little Truths.” Signed to the American Laundromat label, Wild Sun complimented their spirited renditions with anecdotes and background information on their creative inspirations and aspirations.
