Eastern Savings Bank event Wednesday

Eastern Savings Bank will be setting the stage for Independence Day celebrations with a flag-flying event at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Holly Hock Island bridge on West Main Street in Norwich.

The bank's 100th anniversary “Because It Matters” random acts of kindness team will line the northbound side of the street and wave 100 flags alongside community volunteers and first responders. Eastern Savings Bank will hold additional events during summer months in celebration of its 100th anniversary. Details can be found on eastern-savings.com and on the bank's Facebook page.

Eastern Savings Bank has served the banking needs of eastern Connecticut since 1915.
