    Tagliatela elected chairman of Lyme Academy board

    Stephen Tagliatela, managing partner of the Saybrook Point Inn, Marina and Spa, has been elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts of the University of New Haven.

    Tagliatela, who holds an honorary doctorate in business from UNH, has been on the Lyme Academy board since October 2014. He replaces co-chairmen Robert W. Pratt Jr. of Essex and John Visgilio of Old Lyme, both of whom remain on the board.

    Robert Manice of Newport, R.I., has been appointed vice chairman of the board. Reappointed were Laura Lee Miller Bowes of Old Lyme, secretary, and Tracey Jacey of Groton, treasurer.

    Tagliatela, a member of the UNH board of governors, also is co-owner of Franklin Construction of New Haven and the North Haven Health and Racquet Club. He is a licensed real estate broker.
