Three new shops, restaurant opening at Mohegan Sun this month

Mohegan Sun is opening three new shops and a Chick-fil-A restaurant this month, the casino announced.

Splendeur A Luxury Boutique opened this week in The Shops at Mohegan Sun. Steiner Sports, a sports memorabilia store, will open there Thursday, Nov. 17, to be followed by Kiehl’s, which specializes in premium personal-care products, on Monday, Nov. 21.

Chick-fil-A is set to open Wednesday across from Carlo's Bakery in the Casino of the Earth, near a future entrance to the 400-room Earth Hotel tower, which also is expected to open this month. The Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A chain operates more than 2,000 restaurants in 45 states and Washington, D.C. The Mohegan Sun location will be its fifth in Connecticut.

Splendeur offers products for women and men, including handbags, small leather goods, silk scarves, shirts, ties, eyewear, fragrances, jewelry and watches. Brands include Gucci, Versace, Balenciaga, Bottega Venata, Fendi, Givenchy, Halston, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Bugatti, Dolce & Gabbana, Georgio Armani, Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney.

Steiner Sports, headquartered in New Rochelle, N.Y., has stores in Garden City, N.Y., and at Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden in New York City. It bills itself as the world leader in sports experiences and authentic sports memorabilia.

Kiehl’s, founded as an "old-world apothecary" in New York’s East Village, has been providing skin, hair, and body care products for more than 150 years.
