Foundation to host media panel

The Connecticut Foundation for Open Government has announced that it will host a panel discussion Jan. 23 in Hartford on "The Stories Behind the Biggest Stories of 2016 ... and The Storms on the 2017 Horizon."

Panelists will be Paul Bass of the New Haven Independent, Sue Bigelow of CTNewsJunkie, Ken Dixon of the Connecticut Post, Matt Kauffmann of The Hartford Courant and Mark Pazniokas of the Connecticut Mirror.

The discussion, moderated by Christine Stewart of CTNewsJunkie, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Lyceum.

The foundation educates the public about First Amendment rights and media's role in society.
