Groton — The Southeast Chapter of the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association will host author and historian Jim Littlefield at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Groton Regency, 1145 Poquonnock Road.

Littlefield will talk about 15 years of writing a monthly column that he later collected into book form. Serializing, embraced in the past by writers such as Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens, has created name recognition for Littlefield, which results in hefty sales.
