    Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors has new president

    Marilyn Lusher of RE/MAX Home Town has been installed as president of the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors for 2017.

    Lusher, meeting for the annual meeting of the association last week at Great Neck Country Club, succeeded Quincy Clayton of RE/MAX On the Bay as head of the region's Realtors group covering New London and Windham counties.

    Lusher announced during the meeting that ECAR's executive committee had decided the group's theme this year would be "The Power of ECAR –Together."

    "This night and this year are not about me," Lusher said. "Together we can make a difference by engaging in our community, our association and in the real estate business."

    Jamie Moore, 2017 New England regional vice president of the National Association of Realtors, was the installing officer. Clayton served as master of ceremonies.

    Newly elected directors were Fred Allyn of Allyn Associates, Tim Bray of William Pitt Sotheby’s International, David Izzo of Sellstate Leading Edge Realty and Mary Poola of Heritage Properties.

    Newly elected state directors were: Lusher, Matt Lisee of Capital Property Group, Gregory Hanner of Garden Realty, Ryan LaJoie of Johnston & Associates Real Estate, Carol Christiansen of RE/MAX Realty Group and Paula Turley of RE/MAX Realty Group.

    Directors staying on included: Christiansen, Linda Davis of RE/MAX Realty Group, Dan Kildea of Sellstate Leading Edge Realty, Norman Krayem of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services New England, William Reardon of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Tom Sheldon of The Partner Network, Leslie Timmons of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services New England and Turley.
