Home show slated March 4-5 in Groton
Groton — The annual Eastern Connecticut Premier Home Show will be held March 4-5 at Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut and the Builders and Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut.
The show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, and admission is free. More than 90 exhibitors are expected.
This "buy local" home show offers builders, remodelers and other providers from throughout New England to show off their products and services. Among the specialties on hand will be roofing, siding, windows, walls, flooring, energy solutions, water, lawn care and information services.
"After a greatly successful 2016 show, which welcomed a record-setting 4,000 guests, we look forward to making the 2017 Eastern CT Premier Home Show the best yet," said Tony Sheridan, president and chief executive of the local chamber. "(A) large amount of free advice and information ... will be presented, (and) this show has tremendous value for the entire eastern Connecticut region."
Seminars will cover such areas as construction and financing. Complimentary antique appraisals will be offered by Russ Antiques & Auctions, and door prize drawings will be held throughout the weekend, including one for a tropical cruise.
