    No. 3 Notre Dame 92, UCLA 84 (OT)

    Madison Cable saves her best games for UCLA.

    She scored a career-best 22 points to help Notre Dame outlast UCLA in overtime Saturday in the Junkanoo Jam championship game. Cable, who earned MVP honors, also had nine rebounds.

    "It was a great game. UCLA is a really good team, super athletic," said Cable, who had a previous career high of 21 points against UCLA two years ago. "It was a really tough game."

    UCLA trailed by two with 4.3 seconds left before Jordin Canada hit a basket to tie it at 76.

    Lindsay Allen, who finished with 15 points, had a chance for the win in regulation but her 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the front rim.

    Marina Mabrey added 18 points for the Irish (6-0) and made the all-tournament team.

    "What a weekend she had," coach Muffet McGraw said about her freshman. "Coming off the Valparaiso game, she's someone who wants to play and prove she deserves to be out there."

    Notre Dame jumped out to a 24-13 lead after the first quarter and held a 10-point halftime lead before the Bruins rallied in the second half to tie it and send it to overtime. The Irish outscored the Bruins 16-8 in the extra session.

    "I'm so thankful we won the game," McGraw said. "We did so many good things. Madison Cable was huge all game. We made some free throws when we had to. I thought our poise at the end was excellent."

    Monique Billings had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Bruins (3-2). Nirra Fields also had 18 before fouling out in overtime. Canada finished with 12 points and eight assists.

    Notre Dame was still missing Brianna Turner, who injured her right shoulder in practice on Tuesday. She'll be re-evaluated on Monday.

    Irish center Taya Reimer played 24 minutes after missing the last two games with a sore Achilles. She played 24 minutes with two points and three rebounds.

    It was the second top-three team that UCLA played in the past week. The Bruins lost to No. 2 South Carolina 68-65 on Nov. 22.

    No. 5 Baylor 84, No. 20 Michigan State 76

    Nina Davis scored 30 points and Baylor overcame a double-digit deficit to beat Michigan State to win a division of the Junkanoo Jam.

    Niya Johnson and Alexis Jones each added 19 points for the Lady Bears (6-0), who were down 12 points quickly to the Spartans before rallying. Johnson was 12 for 13 from the free throw line and had seven assists. Davis, who made 12 of her 17 shots, earned MVP honors of the tournament.

    Tori Jankoska scored 23 points to lead Michigan State (4-1).

    No. 6 Maryland 70, Pittsburgh 49

    Brionna Jones had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Maryland beat Pittsburgh in the final game of the Paradise Jam.

    Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 16 points to help the Terrapins (6-0) win for the third time in three days.

    Maryland led 19-11 at the end of the first and scored the first 11 points of the second quarter to go up 31-11. Pitt rallied with an 11-2 run and trailed 33-22 at the half. Pitt held the Terrapins scoreless for the final 5:09 of the period and forced eight turnovers in the second quarter.

    The Terrapins were up 11 early in the third quarter before scoring 16 of the final 21 points in the period to take a 55-33 lead. Walker-Kimbrough had seven points during the spurt.

    Yacine Diop scored 14 points and Kalista Walker added 12 for the Panthers (4-2).

    No. 11 Ohio State 95, No. 10 Texas A&M 80

    Kelsey Mitchell matched the Ohio State record with 42 points and the Buckeyes beat Texas A&M in the final game of the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout.

    Mitchell tied the school record set by Samantha Prahalis against Michigan State on Feb. 23, 2011. The sophomore guard has 1,021 points in 41 games for the Buckeyes (4-2) to break the Big Ten record for fewest games to top 1,000. She was 12 of 20 from the field and made 15 of 16 free throws.

    Ameryst Alston added 21 points to help give coach Kevin McGuff his 300th victory. He was 214-73 at Xavier, 41-26 at Washington and 45-31 with the Buckeyes.

    No. 2 South Carolina 90, Cal State Bakersfield 71

    A’ja Wilson matched her career high with 26 points to help South Carolina beat Cal State Bakersfield in the Rainbow Wahine Classic.

    Wilson was 10 of 14 from the field and made 6 of 9 free throws. She also had eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Bianca Cuevas added a season-high 20 points and had six assists for the Gamecocks (6-0). They shot 55 percent from the field.

    Batabe Zempare led the Roadrunners (1-4) with 19 points and eight rebounds.

    No. 7 Oregon State 63, Arkansas 47

    Jamie Weisner scored 26 points to help Oregon State beat Arkansas in the San Juan Shootout title game.

    Weisner was 6 of 7 from 3-point range and 9 of 15 overall from the field for the Beavers (5-0). Ruth Hamblin added 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Sydney Wiese had nine points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

    Jordan Danberry had 14 points for Arkansas (2-4).

    No. 13 Stanford 74, Dayton 66

    Alanna Smith made six of her eight 3-point attempts and scoted 22 points to lead Stanford past Dayton in the Gulf Coast Showcase.

    Smith, a freshman from Australia, entered the game 2 of 9 from behind the arc. Lili Thompson added 19 points, and Erica McCall had 16 for the Cardinal (5-1).

    Jenna Burdette had 13 points for the Flyers (4-1).

    No. 14 Florida State 94, Sam Houston State 37

    Brittany Brown scored 22 of her career-high tying 24 points in the first half and Florida State beat Sam Houston State in the LIU Turkey Classic.

    Brown added six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Adut Bulgak had 19 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for Florida State (5-1). Angela Beadle had 10 points for Sam Houston State (2-3).

    No. 15 Duke 85, Texas State 34

    Azura Stevens scored 19 points and Duke beat Texas State in the Cancun Challenge.

    Haley Gorecki hit all four of her shots, including three 3-pointers, and added 11 points for the Blue Devils (6-1). Toshua Leavitt made nine points for Texas State (2-4).

    No. 16 Arizona State 75, Hawaii 49

    Quinn Dornstauder and Katie Hempen each scored 12 points and Arizona State ran away from Hawaii in the second and third quarters in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown on Saturday night.

    The Sun Devils (2-2) held a 12-11 lead after the first quarter, but outscored Hawaii 51-26 over the next 20 minutes and held a 63-37 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

    Destiny King scored 16 points for Hawaii (4-2).

    No. 16 California 77, Liberty 72

    Mikayla Cowling had a career-high 22 points and California held off Liberty in the South Point Shootout.

    Kristine Anigwe added 16 points, and Asha Thomas had 14 for Cal (5-1). Ashley Rininger led the Flames (2-4) with 18 points, and Jaymee Fisher-Davis and Sadalia Ellis each had 13.

    No. 19 Northwestern 78, East Carolina 75

    Maggie Lyon tied a career high with 26 points and Christen Inman hit the go-ahead basket with 11 seconds left to help Northwestern beat East Carolina in Lone Star Showcase.

    Ashley Deary scored 19 points, and Nia Coffey added 17 points and 12 rebounds for Northwestern (6-0).

    I’Tiana Taylor had a career-high 27 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for East Carolina (6-2). Jada Payne added 22 points and 13 rebounds.

    No. 21 Oklahoma 76, Boston College 61

    Peyton Little scored 17 points and Oklahoma pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Boston College at the Junkanoo Jam.

    Vionise Pierre-Louis added 15 points for the Sooners (5-1). Kelly Hughes led Boston College (5-1) with 15 points.

    Purdue 62, No. 22 Louisville 60

    Ashley Morrissette scored 17 points and Bridget Perry added 14 more, including the winning free throws with 21 seconds left, to lift Purdue to a comeback win over Louisville in the Gulf Coast Showcase.

    Morrissette’s bucket with 1:07 remaining gave Purdue (5-0) its first lead since the first quarter, 57-56. Louisville edged back twice before Perry drained both free throws to take a 61-60 advantage. April Wilson cemented the win by going 1 of 2 from the line with 10 seconds left, then got a steal at the other end.

    Andreona Keys grabbed 10 rebounds for Purdue, which hit 54 percent of its 43 shots from the floor.

    Louisville (1-3) led most of the game but couldn’t break away as Purdue kept the margin in the single digits. Myisha Hines-Allen had 16 points for the Cardinals and Briahanna Jackson added 13.

    No. 23 Syracuse 76, Fordham 54

    Alexis Peterson had 25 points, eight assist and five steals in Syracuse’s victory over Fordham in the Thanksgiving Shootout.

    Brittney Sykes added scored 18 points for the Orange (4-1). Hannah Missry, G’mrice Davis and Lauren Holden each scored 12 points for Fordham (2-3).

    Wright State 77, No. 24 George Washington 71

    Kim Demmings scored 32 points, including a key 3-pointer with 26 seconds left, and Wright State rallied to beat George Washington in the Lone Star Showcase.

    Emily Vogelpohl tied her career high with 17 points for Wright State (6-2). Jonquel Jones had 17 points and 19 rebounds for George Washington (5-2).

    No. 25 Iowa 64, Houston 50

    Ally Disterhoft had 15 points to help Iowa beat Houston in the Lone Star Showcase.

    Alexa Kastanek added 13 points for the Hawkeyes (6-1). Serithia Hawkins has 12 points and eight rebounds for Houston (1-5).
