Sun begin another road trip at Chicago on Sunday

A quick recap of the winless Connecticut Sun's Memorial Day weekend — they were blown out by the unbeaten Minnesota Lynx on Friday night, arrived at a Bradley Airport hotel after midnight, and had to be at the ticket counter by less than six hours later for a flight to Chicago for Sunday's game against the Sky.

The life of a professional athlete isn't always as glamorous as one might think.

The Sun play Chicago at 6 p.m. (WCCT), followed by games at the Washington Mystics (Tuesday) and San Antonio Stars (Saturday).

Work has been aggravating enough for Connecticut (0-4). It's off to the worst start in franchise history having finished last or second-to-last the previous four years.

"It's been frustrating," second-year forward Morgan Tuck said. "Every time we lose, it's frustrating. We're playing again on Sunday, we leave really early in the morning, so you can't let it build up."

Connecticut ranks in the bottom five in shooting percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding, and defensive field goal percentage.

Adding to Connecticut's vexation is that it'll spend the majority of its time from now until July 13 on early-morning commercial flights and in hotel rooms. The Sun have already played two away games, and 10 of their next 15 games are on the road.

Cappie Pondexter has averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 assists for Chicago (1-4).
