Daybreak raw-egg recipe is dangerous

I am writing about the Daybreak section May 15. I write concerning the Carbonara Pasta Salad. I can't let it rest. It looked so good I thought I'd make it. I read the recipe and was surprised to find it used three raw egg yolks in the dressing.
Raw eggs can have Salmonella. I know a whole family nearby who were sickened by a soufflé that wasn't cooked enough. Two members had to go to the hospital. Only the baby didn't get sick and it was because he didn't eat any.
Eggs have to be cooked thoroughly to kill the Salmonella.
