The Groton Public Schools Book Discussion Group resumes at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Groton Public Library with a discussion of "The Smartest Kids in the World" by Amanda Ripley.

Co-sponsored by the Groton Public Library and the Groton Public Schools, the series provides an opportunity for parents and community members to explore titles suggested by Groton educators. A school administrator will lead the discussion. Copies of the book are available at the library.

The series continues Feb. 12 with "David and Goliath" by Malcolm Gladwell.
