Have-a-Heart for the Animal League

Animal Welfare League of New London County is seeking donations for its fifth annual Have-a-Heart Resale fundraiser on April 18 and 19 at Boilermakers Lodge 614, 33 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton. The event supports the league’s efforts to provide medical assistance to animals in need in New London County.

Donations of wet and dry dog and cat food, bedding and blankets, cleaners and pet items will be accepted from 4 to 6 p.m. April 10, and 1 to 3 p.m. April 12 at the lodge. Donations also will be accepted during the event.

There will be gift baskets, a silent auction and a resale of goods. Microchipping installation is available between noon and 1 p.m. Saturday for $25. Appointments can be made by calling (860) 445-0280.
