Author Lisa Lutz to sign books Saturday in Mystic

Known for her very funny “Spellman Files” detective novels, Lisa Lutz has become a national bestselling author with a feature film in the works based on the series.

Her latest, though, is a stand-alone called “How to Start a Fire,” which follows the intertwining experiences of three female best pals over two decades after their chance meeting on a college campus.

The reviews for “How to Start a Fire” have been extremely and consistently positive, citing not just the layered characters but the profound insights into the nature and complexities of female friendship.

Lutz will sign copies and discuss the book in a Saturday appearance in Mystic’s Bank Square Books.
